Above is my latest video project, called Video Dairy #1. It is simply an overview of the first four months of my travels, and it took my an eternity to edit. Leave this webpage open for a few mintues, as it may take a little while to load. You may also right click here, and choose to save the video to your computer.

I don’t know if this is where the comment goes, but, I will give it a try. The action shots are terrific! I think Ali’s apartment falls into the poverty category. I have never seen such a pathetic pine tree. Do we need to help her?
I have been asked to join a group called “Mothers Without Borders” Is this on your approved list?
Much love,
Gram

Hi Grandma! Thanks for the comment, even though it’s in the video log area!
I don’t think you have to worry about Ali Evershed’s apartment. For one thing, her dad is the president of a large bank subsidiary.
Also, if you look at the blanket/curtain in Ali’s room, you may mistakenly think she can’t afford proper window treatments. But closer investigation reveals that the blanket is from…
Banana Republic!
As for Mothers Without Borders, I hear good things about it. It’s an organization that gives people the opportunity to travel and get involved hands on with poverty issues. Nonetheless, I encourage people to support smaller, more localized organizations.

Hi Matt. It’s been a long time. I decided to google myself and came up with this link. I was laughing pretty hard. Just a little update…I no longer live in my “poverty stricken” apartment on the West side! You should also let Grams know that I have nice roman shades instead of a blanket covering my windows. They don’t serve a dual purpose like the blanket, but are nice to keep the rest of the world from peering in on my not-so-interesting life!
